NYC and back in the U S of A

We finally made it back to the States (for the Aussies and Europeans) or America (for the SE Asians), but no trip around the world can be complete without a stop in the most diverse city in the world, New York City. Since we didn't make it to Canada we started out by checking out Jaymin's favorite Canadian band, Stars, in concert. Although we met so many Canadians on the road it didn't feel like we needed to make a special trip up there. The Stars lead singer won the coveted prize of sweatiest performer I saw on the trip, or in my life for that matter.

We also met up with and hung out with Jaymin, Justin, Pam, Hulya, Jose, Jes, Ben, Michelle, Shannon, and many others. Thanks for welcoming us back!

Barcelona

In Barcelona we embraced our artistic side at the Picasso Muesum. I also embraced the siesta before we explored the Barcelona nightlife.

Egypt

From the western comforts of Europe we crossed the Mediterranean to the land of Pharaohs and mummies. We explored the desert on horseback, and climbed into the giant ancient tombs known as the pyramids. We climbed Mt Sinai at night and watched sunrise from the summit, and went scuba diving in the red sea at night.

Hungary

Our next stop in Europe was behind the former iron curtain in Budapest. Sights included the castle, hot springs, and caves. We also traveled down to Pecs for the heritage festival and went to Villany for an afternoon of wine tasting. Villany is known for its blue Portuguese wines.
